Even the editorial’s title “Royster-Clark site redevelopment as easy choice” hints that it is going to fit easily into our “Type 3 Filler” category. On the plus side, it does inform us that there’s finally a serious effort to redevelop a large and problematic building site that once held a fertilizer plant. It’s news. It’s of interest. Does it belong on the editorial page (lamely framed as if there some controversy)? Well, no.
But there’s only one person (we guess, from afar) who actually writes the editorials — editorial page editor Scott Milfred.
Since we now have consecutive Type 3 Fillers, we think it’s a good bet that he’s on vacation.
